New Paranormal Book Releases for Septrember 2009

Here is the list of new paranormal book releases for September 2009. I've had some questions so I just want to say right upfront that this list certainly isn't a comprehensive list of every paranormal book being released this month. These are the books on my particular buying list and quite a few very popular authors I've grown tired of and whose series I don't read anymore (like Sherilyn Kenyon, Katie McAlister, Mary Janice Davidson, to name a few) as well as some newer authors whose series I declined to continue after the first book (like Karen Chance and Jeaniene Frost) are conspicuously absent. Here's my list of books I'm excited about reading this month!

September 2009 Paranormal Releases

Must Love Hellhounds (anthology)
This includes a story by Ilona Andrews, so I'm in. Her Kate Daniels series is tied for the Dresden Files series as my favourite all time paranormal book series so this is a must have. Charlaine Harris is also listed as a contributor so I have high hopes though some of her short stories (like the Sookie/Dracula one in a previous anthology) have been pretty bad.

Rosemary and Rue: An October Daye Novel by Seanan Maguire This is the first in a new series. It has elements of detective novels (I also read some mysteries), magic, faeries and elves and takes place in my hometown, San Francisco, so I'll try it.

Trick of the Light: A Trickster Novel by Rob Thurman A new series by the author of the Cal Leandros novels.

Big Bad Wolf by Christine Warren An entry into her "The Others" series. I don't read them all but this one sounds perfect for a bit of shapeshifter romance.

My Favorite Witch by Lisa Plumley A well known romance author makes her first foray into the paranormal world.

On the Edge by Ilona Andrews She wrote it so I'll buy it, no further info needed. (Yes, she's that good.) It says book one so it looks like we are getting a new series to hold us over between Kate Daniels books. Hallelujah!

Darker Angels by MLN Hanover (Black Sun's Daughter Book 2) I just finished book one and thought it was fairly good so we'll see how the series goes with this one.

Walking Dead by CE Murphy (Walker Chronicles) It's been way too long since we've had a new installment in this series so I'm excited to see this book! Looks like the next in the series, Demon Hunts, will be out in June 2010. You know, I've read the first in the authors other series and they just don't click for me but I've been a Joanna Walker fan since the first book was first released. I'm glad she's back!
